QME (DEEDI) Health Survelliance Unit- RESPA HVAC PFP Evaluation Report

[Back]

15-Mar-10
Peter Woodford

Recently the Sy- Klone RESPA HVAC PFP (Precleaner+ Filtration+ Pressuriser) was evaluated by the QME (Queensland Mines & Energy) Mines Inspectorate Health Surveillance Unit.

Attached / below is the final report after, a preliminary academic paper was presented at the recent  (Institute of Occupational Hygienists), AIOH 27th Annual Conference held in Canberra, December 5th – 9th, 2009.

The paper will also be provided to the Australian / International Journal of Health Safety and Environment special edition planned for April 2010

The trial / evaluation report states that:

"This report provides qualification that installation of units such as this will be beneficial to the health and comfort of machinery operators. In principle this technology should be adaptable to other mining and quarrying applications including fixed plant (crusher control rooms) and mobile plant in other operations"

LSM Technologies / Sy- klone RESPA SD / SDX PFP Units are not only the ultimate control measure for reducing Operator exposure to Respirable / Inhalable Particulate, but also provide enormous costs savings in maintenance and associated productive losses with extension of Filter Element and HVAC service life.
